“Fair enough, smarty pants?"The leader teased. Tom pointed towards me and all his henchmen went after me. I ran but soon, I had reached a corner. They cornered me and rained punches on me. tried to fight back but to no avail. Meanwhile, I could feel blood oozing out of my wounds and dripping onto the rough ground.

"What do you think you are doing?"A loud voice thundered. The gang turned around and saw the men in blue rushing towards us and quickly escaped. A passer-by must have seen us fighting and called the police and the ambulance. The paramedics put me on a stretcher and into the ambulance. Then, they whisked me to the nearest hospital. On the way there, I blacked out.
