探险（三）

After moments of discussing what to do, Ben and I decided to try to lure Paws back to where we were. Ben frantically called out for him and I placed his favourite biscuit on the muddy ground, but to no avail. We had no choice but to be as brave as soldiers and went on to look for Paws. We then ran ahead, ignoring the stop sign.

All of a sudden, the familiar sound of Paws' excited barks resounded. Running as fast as our tired legs could carry us, Ben and I approached gingerly, only to see Paws furiously digging in the soil. An old, worn-out looking coffee-brown chest was slowly being exposed, complete with brass detailing, intricate carvings and a sturdy padlock. Ben and I stood riveted to the ground, our mouths agape. My heart skipped a beat.
