We are often quick to judge the people around us when they make wrong choices. Be it celebrities, teachers or even our parents - we tend to hold others to high standards of integrity and ethics. However it was only when I was placed in a position where I was faced with a moral dilemma and had to make a difficult decision that I realised that doing the right thing was not as easy as it seemed.

Tanya, who had recently moved here from Bangladesh was struggling, to fit in with the rest of her classmates. They regularly mocked her accent which sounded strange and at times unintelligible. Topping the class in almost every subject seemingly effortlessly only served to sow seeds of bitterness and jealously in several classmates. All these ill feelings towards Tanya culminated in some students penning hate-filled, poisonous rumours about her on social media using anonymous identities. Savage attacks on her family were also made by the students, including branding them as 'terrorists' and 'unwanted pariahs'.
